Dr. Sheryl Tucker
Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate College

Dr. Tucker joined the Graduate College and Oklahoma State University in fall 2011. In her roles, she has direct responsibility and oversight for over 5,000 graduate students in 100 graduate programs across the three Oklahoma State University campuses in Stillwater and Tulsa. Dr. Tucker is also a professor in the Department of Chemistry. She has been nationally recognized for her scholarly endeavors focusing on access and opportunity for underrepresented groups in STEM and spectroscopic investigations of macro and supramolecular media. 

Dr. Van Delinder
Dr. Jean Van Delinder
Senior Associate Dean

Dr. Van Delinder joined the Graduate College in summer 2010. Her responsibilities include matriculation through graduation oversight; disciplinary and interdisciplinary degree program development and monitoring; and student issues and concerns. Dr. Van Delinder is also a professor in the Department of Sociology. Her research develops systemic approaches to increase the representation and advancement of women and minorities in STEM. She is also recognized for her work on gender and social justice.

Dr. Clinkenbeard
Dr. Kenneth Clinkenbeard
Associate Dean 

Dr. Clinkenbeard joined the Graduate College in summer 2013. His responsibilities include graduate student professional preparation programming; the ITA program, College communications and recruiting oversight; and graduate student and graduate teaching assistant orientations leadership. Dr. Clinkenbeard is also a professor in the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology. His research is in the areas of infectious disease pathogenesis and ecology.

Dr. Brenda Smith
Graduate Faculty Fellow 

Dr. Brenda Smith joined the Graduate College in fall 2017. Her responsibilities include graduate student professional development programming; the International Teaching Assistant Program, College communications; and recruiting and orientation oversight. Dr. Smith’s research, teaching, and mentoring expertise have been recognized by the College of Human Sciences, University and national professional societies. She is also a Regents Professor and holds the John and Sue Taylor Professorship in the Department of Nutritional Sciences. Her research focuses on the effects of phytochemicals and exercise on bone health, inflammation, nutrition and aging, and the role of immune and antioxidant systems on bone biology.

Chastity Taylor
Executive Administrative Assistant

Ms. Taylor joined the Graduate College in summer of 2017. She provides primary administrative support for the College Deans and the Graduate Council. In addition, she coordinates special events and the Graduate Commencement ceremony. Ms. Taylor earned a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Counseling from Southwest Baptist University.

Reception

Ms. Ross joined the Graduate College in fall 2014. She is the receptionist answering student and faculty questions when they phone or stop by the office. She also provides administrative assistance with processing of documents.

Ms. Bitah joined the Graduate College in spring 2012. She provides administrative support for the College and assists students, staff and faculty with their questions when they call or drop by the Graduate College. She earned her AAS in Computer Science and AA in Business Administration from Haskell Indian Jr. College.

Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions

Dr. Mathew joined the Graduate College in spring 2005. She is responsible for the daily supervision of the graduate admissions process and has significant expertise in international credential evaluation. She is the DSO, issuing I-20s for international students. Dr. Matthew earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Oklahoma State University.

Ms. Forshee joined the Graduate College in spring 2015. She is responsible for assisting domestic and international graduate students with the admission process. She also works directly with Oklahoma State University program faculty and staff on graduate admissions. She earned her B.S. in Design, Housing and Merchandising with the option in Merchandising from Oklahoma State University.

Ms. Smith joined the Graduate College in the Summer of 2015. She is responsible for assisting domestic and international graduate students with the admission process. She also works directly with Oklahoma State University program faculty and staff on graduate admissions. Ms. Smith earned her B.A. from Wake Forest University and her M.S. from NC State University.

She also works directly with Oklahoma State University program faculty and staff on graduate admissions. She earned her B.S. in Sociology from Oklahoma State University.

Ms. Hoheisel joined the Graduate College in Fall 2016. She is responsible for assisting domestic and international graduate students with the admission process. She also works directly with Oklahoma State University program faculty and staff on graduate admissions. Ms. Hoheisel earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Universidade Paulista de Ensino

Matriculation and Program Specialist

Mr. Shepard joined the Graduate College in summer 2006. He is responsible for coordinating all aspects of graduate student academic progress (e.g., Plans of Study and Graduation Clearance) with students, faculty and staff. He also manages the Graduate Faculty Database and serves as the academic advisor for non-degree seeking students. Mr. Shepard earned a B.S. in Economics and Philosophy from Oklahoma State University.

Ms. Sanders joined the Graduate College in fall 2015. She is responsible for working with all aspects of graduate student academic progress (e.g., Plans of Study and Graduation Clearance) with students, faculty and staff.

Coordinator of Student Professional Development

Ms. Pickering joined in spring 2013. She is currently the Administrative Associate for the Graduate College. She is responsible for administrative duties in conjunction with 3MT, 3MC, and 3MP competitions; ITA Exam; Writing Workshops; and other events through the Graduate College. Ms. Pickering also provides administrative support for the Graduate College Deans.

Charmaine Motte
Coordinator of Recruitment

Ms. Motte joined the Oklahoma State University Graduate College staff in April 2017. She is responsible for recruiting new graduate students along with working with CollegeNet, which provides software as a service for administrative functions, such as application evaluation, and social media to engage potential students. She will also be available to assist the graduate programs with their recruitment.

Senior Manager of Business Operations

Ms. Kennedy joined the Graduate College in September 2000. She oversees all College fiscal and human resources operations. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing all graduate student tuition waiver programs, graduate student fellowship and award programs, such as Top Tier. She earned her B.S. in Family Relations and Child Development.

Financial Assistant 

Ms. Orr joined the Graduate College in fall 2016. Her responsibilities include assistance with certification of enrollment and employment eligibility concerning tuition waivers for Graduate Teaching and Research Assistants, processing tuition waivers for students on assistantship, and various other financial operations. While she holds a BS in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, she is proud to be a Cowboy earning her M.S. in Teaching, Learning and Leadership with an option in Occupational Education Studies from Oklahoma State University.

 

 


Dr. Benjamin
Dr. Bruce Benjamin
Interim Vice Provost for Graduate Programs,
Center for Health Sciences

Dr. Benjamin has administrative responsibility for the daily operations of graduate education programs at the Center for Health Sciences (CHS) in Tulsa. In addition to its graduate programs, CHS is home to the College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Benjamin is also Associate Dean for Biomedical Sciences and Associate Professor of Physiology at CHS. His research interests include cardiovascular and renal physiology.

The Environmental Science Graduate Program (ESGP) is operated under the administration of the Graduate College.  Due to its interdisciplinary nature, the ESGP attracts and produces students capable of thinking beyond a single discipline.  This unique approach to graduate education offers flexibility with locations on the main campus in Stillwater and Oklahoma State University in Tulsa.
