Oklahoma State University McNair Research Conference Wednesday, February 18 through Friday, February 20, 2009 Registration will open in November 2008. Information for McNair Scholars Students in McNair programs are encouraged to participate in our annual research conference. This conference is an excellent opportunity for McNair students to present their work to other McNair Scholars, OSU graduate students and OSU faculty. We have hosted over 500 students from 20 states and 35 different universities. Please ask your program director to call Jennifer Smith at 405-744-7045 for details. We can assist you making OSU graduate program visits, suggest local hotel accommodations, and other needs. Benefits to those participating include: Present your own research Observe other presentations Meet other McNair Scholars from around the nation Presenters are provided an opportunity to obtain feedback about their research from peers and faculty Students have the opportunity to hear prominent speakers The opportunity to visit with nationally recognized graduate programs The opportunity to meet with other OSU graduate students from McNair programs and hear their stories and ask their advice Registration for 2009 will open in November Tentative Schedule of Events: We recommend that you arrive in Stillwater on Wednesday, February 18. Conference closes after the last presentation at 12:00 on Friday.  In order to accommodate travel considerations, there is no closing session.  Students may leave after their presentation on Friday If you are flying, we recommend that you plan a return flight leaving after 2:30 p.m. on Friday February 22. With prior arrangement we will provide a shuttle back to Tulsa - see travel information page for details for how to sign-up. We recognize that as a McNair Scholar you have busy schedule and can accommodate your requests should you not be able to attend the entire symposium schedule for the entire three days. Just let us know your needs. Registration Fee:  There is no registration fee for any participant. Our McNair Conference provides opportunities for students to share their research, provide interaction with graduate faculty, and provide forums for discussion of intellectual issues between McNair Scholars from around the country.
