Oklahoma State University offers graduate students a wide variety of academic and other services to assist them in their professional, academic, and personal development.

Edmon Low Library
The Edmon Low Library contains over 1,500,000 volumes, 2,100,000 microform units, and over 165,000 maps. The library is a regional depository of the federal government. Graduate students are entitled to a 30-day check-out period for books, and can utilize the interlibrary loan facilities.

Writing Center
The OSU Writing Center, located in 104 Morrill Hall, offers the following services to graduate students: One-on-one conferences to help the writers with organization, theme, and content of writing projects; computer lab with technical writing and MS Office programs; grammar "hotline" to answer specific grammar questions.

University Health Center
The Oklahoma State University Health Center provides health services with a staff of physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other medical professionals. Specialty services include a women's health/gynecology clinic, allergy clinic and sports medicine clinic. Appointments are available for all services, or a student can choose to be seen on a first come first served basis.

The Student Health Center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM through 6:30 PM during the fall and spring semesters. During summer and intersessions, closing time is 4:45 PM. University Health Services is closed on all University Holidays.

All students are eligible to use the health center upon payment of the semester health fee. Non-enrolled spouses of students are also eligible for services by payment of the health fee. The health fee allows for unlimited physician offices visits for no charge. There are charges for the services in the lab and xray departments and for prescription medications sold in the pharmacy.

Minority and International Student Services
The Office of Multicultural Development, 320 Student Union, (405) 744-5481, provides a variety of educational and personal experiences as well as cultural activities that deal with the ethnic and personal identities of minority students.

English lessons are available for students and nonstudents needing additional instruction in conversational English. This is a community sponsored program. A newsletter is published especially for international students. The Office of International Programs administers the English Language Institute offering classes in listening and speaking, grammar, reading, composition, and academic skills. An institutional TOEFL exam is given by the Institute at the end of each semester. In addition, Oklahoma State University is an international TOEFL Testing Center.

Colvin Center and Other Recreation Services
The Colvin Physical Education Center encompasses a wide variety of organized and informal recreational activities including intramurals, sports clubs, non-credit activity courses, and outdoor adventure programs. Activity areas available include racquetball, indoor and outdoor swimming, gymnastics, fencing, billiards, dance, golf, table tennis, wrestling, weight-lifting, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and squash. Intramural programs are conducted for women's, men's and coed teams. Lockers are available.

Outdoor facilities available include tennis courts, basketball courts, archery range, golf driving range, jogging track, and fields for soccer, rugby, football, and softball. Facilities are also available at Lake Carl Blackwell and Camp Redlands for sailing, canoeing, and crew.

The Oklahoma State University Outdoor Adventure Program consists of organized trips led by professional staff and trained students. The wilderness trips are designed to offer an opportunity for developing outdoor skills. An extensive variety of rental and purchase of quality outdoor equipment is available in the Colvin Center.
