Attention: Students Graduating this Semester

If you plan on graduating this December, please review the Graduation Checklist and the Graduate College Academic Calendar for important deadlines. In order for your degree to be awarded, you must meet enrollment requirements, attend the “non-thesis” or “thesis/dissertation” workshop or complete the equivalent webinar, have a final approved Plan of Study, approved graduation clearance, active graduation application and have successfully completed all the required coursework.


Furthermore, students completing a thesis or dissertation must submit a signed oral defense results form to the Graduate College before submitting their final thesis or dissertation document. A signature approval page must be submitted before the thesis or dissertation document can be reviewed and approved. Any requested revisions to the final document submission must be completed promptly. Remember that the submission process is not complete until you have received an email confirming your document has been accepted, and the process may take several weeks beyond the end of the semester.

These requirements represent the general requirements of all graduating students in the Graduate College. Students should also contact their academic program for further program requirements, if applicable. In addition, students should be sure that any outstanding bursar balances are paid to avoid delays in issuing diplomas upon graduation.
