To qualify, students should have at least a portion of their data collected, have begun or are ready to begin writing their dissertation and be planning to graduate in the Summer or Fall of 2019. Students will receive instruction in several different dissertation writing topics, have a supportive writing environment to work on their dissertation with snacks and lunches provided, and are required to participate in an accountability writing group to facilitate the success of their dissertation writing across the Fall semester. The student who completes all requirements are eligible for a $500 award. Registration is now open and closes by December 14th, 2018.
- The writing accountability groups will continue to meet biweekly (i.e., eight times) throughout the Fall semester to facilitate progress on students' dissertations.
- Participants are required to attend all five of the all-day workshop sessions and all of the accountability sessions to be eligible for a $500 participation award. (Please note that this award is considered income and can potentially impact the amount of financial aid for which you qualify.) - Students who applied for the workshop require their advisor’s confirmation that they are ready to initiate writing of their dissertation.
