Sheikh Shahed Uddin

Hello, this is Sheikh Shahed Uddin. I am from Bangladesh. Currently I am pursuing my MS degree in Design, Housing and Merchandising with a major in Merchandising. I am also working as a teaching assistant (TA) in Design, Housing and Merchandising. I did my bachelors in Textile Engineering from Bangladesh University of Textiles, Bangladesh, with a focus in fabric manufacturing engineering.

After graduation, I started my career as a merchandiser and worked for 1 and a half year. My professional experience gave me the opportunity to work with the world class apparel retailers. Eventually, I perceived the importance of higher education in merchandising to cope with the currently expediting global apparel market. As I joined Oklahoma State University in 2016, I am focusing on two stream of research interest: sustainable supply chain management in apparel retail industry and consumer behavior association with corporate with responsibility (CSR) activities of apparel retail industries. In future, I aim to work in liaison with the apparel industries back in my country and the global apparel retailers. Apart from study, I love to go to adventure and pleasure trips, enjoy playing badminton, cricket and soccer and also, reading.  I served as a graduate representative for my department at The Graduate and Professional Student Government Association (GPSGA) for two semesters. Currently I am also serving as the treasurer of Bangladesh Student Association (BSA), OSU.
