The OSU Graduate College and Graduate and Professional Student Government Association (GPSGA) announce the Outstanding Graduate Coordinator Award and Outstanding Graduate Support Staff Award to recognize the exemplary service of the faculty and staff who lead and manage graduate programs. Graduate coordinators and their support staff provide an invaluable service to the University and its community of students, faculty, and staff. This award is one of the few opportunities available to recognize the incredible contributions to graduate education made by these individuals. The Outstanding Graduate Coordinator Award and the Outstanding Support Staff Award recipients will also receive a $500 cash award and a plaque commemorating the award.

The Distinguished Graduate Fellowships (DGFs) recognize outstanding OSU graduate students from any disciplinary or interdisciplinary program. New and continuing graduate students are eligible for DGF consideration. A DGF carries a $2,200 annual award and may be renewed for up to three years with appropriate graduate program progress.

Graduate students must be nominated by their academic unit.  Submission information and additional details can be found here,

Graduate College

The Graduate College is pleased to continue the Honorary Graduate Commencement Marshal award program. Up to two doctoral and two master’s graduates will be selected through a nomination process to serve as honorary graduate marshals for the Spring 2015 Commencement Ceremony.

Each graduate program is limited to one submission and self-nominations are not accepted. Each recipient will receive $1,000 award, be recognized at commencement and in the program, be provided special gown adornments, and lead the graduates in the processionals/recessionals and awarding of the diploma covers.

The Summer Dissertation Fellowships are available to support outstanding OSU post-candidacy, doctoral students from any disciplinary or interdisciplinary program. There are a limited number of competitive Fellowships available, and applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • must have been enrolled in fall 2014 and spring 2015 semester;
  • must be continuing as a degree-seeking student in the fall 2015 semester; and
  • must be official Ph.D. candidates (candidacy form must be approved by the Graduate College by May 8, 2015).
  • must be nominated by the academic unit – no self-nominations.

Applications must be submitted electronically as a single pdf file by 5:00 pm, Friday, February 27, 2015, to grad.dean@okstate.edu.
