Josh Butcher, PhD

Program Co-Director, Interdisciplinary Toxicology

Dr. Josh Butcher received his PhD in Cellular and Integrative Physiology from West Virginia University. He is an Associate Professor in the Physiological Sciences Department in the College of Veterinary Medicine.

His laboratory group focuses on how muscle mass can attenuate obesity-derived cardiovascular dysfunction with aging and on determining the effects of an exercise mimetic.

David Wallace, PhD

Program Co-Director, Interdisciplinary Toxicology

Dr. David Wallace has over two decades of experience as an educator, mentor, and advisor in a Health Science Center setting. He received his PhD focused in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Florida with fellowships from the University of Colorado and Kentucky. He has recently been appointed the interim Chair of the Pharmacology and Physiology department at OSU-CHS. He is involved in program development, strategic planning for future development, and is a lead member in planning and constructing a new biomedical research facility.

Dr. Wallace partnered with the Graduate College and is currently serving as the Interdisciplinary Toxicology Program Co-Director.
