What is Toxicology?
Toxicology Graduate Certificate
The Graduate Certificate in Interdisciplinary Toxicologyprovides students with a survey exposure to basic concepts and principles in toxicology. Twelve credit hours to include courses from at least two different participating departments/colleges (see Courses Offered) are required for conferring the Certificate. This Certificate will prepare students from multiple backgrounds in environmental and public health issues surrounding chemical toxicity. Students apply for admission through the Graduate College.
Students in the Certificate Program can apply for funds to support training opportunities/travel (contactJason Beldenfor information). Applications for travel support must be made 30 days in advance of the proposed travel. An annualParacelsus Award (see Fellowships and Awards) will be given to the top student receiving the certificate based on academic performance and engagement in interdisciplinary efforts within the Program.
Application Requirements
- Be a graduate student at OSU
- Meet the admission standards of the Graduate College
- Have the equivalent of at least a 3.0/4.0 undergraduate GPA
Graduate Certificate Admissions
- Submit an application
- Pay the required application fee
- Submit any needed transcripts
- Once admitted, submit a plan of study.
Once you have completed the course requirementsfor the Certificate Program, to receive your certificate you must submit anApplication for Certificate Completion Formto the Registrar's Office.
Interdisciplinary Toxicology Symposium
The 2022 Interdisciplinary Toxicology Symposium will be held in the Spring: date TBD. During the two-day symposium, attendees will hear from undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students, ITP Fellows, invited speakers and ITP faculty members.
