Online Research Writing Course Offered In Summer

This summer, the Grad College, in partnership with the English Department and the Office of Research, will offer “GRAD5193: Preparing Publishable Manuscripts.”

The 8-week, three-credit hour course will be taught by Dr. Stephanie Link as part of the Trailblazer program and enrollment is by instructor permission.

Students interested in receiving a framework for research writing and publishing that they can further employ to advance within their fields of scholarship should watch this video and fill out this form before May 10 to be considered.

Faculty research advisors will be asked to confirm students’ eligibility.

Data Carpentry at OSU Center for Health Sciences (Tulsa)

April 18-19, Classroom T-353, Tandy Building, OSU Center for Health Sciences

Data Carpentry develops and teaches workshops on the fundamental data skills needed to conduct research. Its target audience is researchers who have little to no prior computational experience, and its lessons are domain specific, building on learners’ existing knowledge to enable them to quickly apply skills learned to their own research.

The Oklahoma Water Research Grant invites pre-proposals for water research projects from graduate students (up to $5,000) at any institute of higher education in Oklahoma through the Oklahoma Water Research Grants Program.

2019 Dr. Debbie Blanke Scholarship

Deadline: April 30

This scholarship was established by the Oklahoma Women in Higher Education (OKWHE) Board in 2014 and is open to individuals enrolled as a graduate student in a higher education related degree program and who have attended at least one OKWHE conference. Preference for the scholarship is given to applicants who have earned at least 12 credit hours towards a graduate degree, worked at least three years in a higher education institution, and intend to pursue a career in higher education.
