Environmental Wellness
What does environmental wellness mean to you?
Environmental wellness encompasses both the natural environment and your social environment. It is about how you interact with your community, nature and even yourself. Learning to appreciate how human activities affect the earth and taking positive steps to live in harmony with your surroundings.
Strategies for improving your environmental wellness
- Become an advocate of consistent usage of recyclable materials.
- Cultivate community and well-being
- Patronize local markets-eat freshly harvested food while reducing transportation related pollution
- Prudent usage of resources such as water, electricity and fossil fuels
- Whenever possible walk, ride your bicycle or take public transport to your destination
- Take time out to learn how to take care of and interact positively with your surroundings and the earth in general
