What makes up social wellness?
Social wellness encompasses genuine and consistent relationships/interactions with people of various backgrounds and how well you manage expectations that arise from these interactions. It simply means developing a sense of interdependency and interconnnectivity, feeling like you are a part of a whole. Social wellness is about developing and maintaining both digital and in-person connections (personal and professional).
How to improve your social wellness skills
- Learn skills that will help you develop and maintain interpersonal relationships
- Appreciating diversity and always treating people with kindness
- Seek more to understand people rather than be understood
- Learn to be assertive and empathetic
- Time management
- Being true to your self at all times (not trying to be something you are not to please others)

Humane Society of Stillwater
The Humane Society of Stillwater is a nonprofit, adoption guaranteed animal shelter that serves homeless dogs and cats in the Stillwater community. The purpose of the Humane Society of Stillwater is to facilitate the placement of stray and unwanted animals and pets in desirable homes; to establish and maintain an animal shelter and associated procedures which promote the health, care and handling, and prevent over population of cats and dogs.
Stillwater Book Clubs
The library is committed to providing book discussion opportunities to the public. Book clubs introduce readers to books they might not otherwise read. Through reflection and discussion, book clubs give readers a deeper meaning to what they read. Most of all, book clubs bring people together to celebrate reading!

Center For Sovereign Nations
Part of President Burns Hargis' vision to serve sovereign tribal nations in Oklahoma, the OSU Center for Sovereign Nations was founded in 2015 with a lead investment by
the Chickasaw Nation and a later investment by the Choctaw Nation. The Center collaborates with many tribal nations and serves all native students and their friends.
