Grad Ed Month: Graduate Student Well-being

April is Graduate Education Month! Each year, the Graduate College chooses a theme for Grad Ed Month, and this year's theme is Graduate Student Well-being. Each week throughout the month of April, we will focus on a facet of wellness in the new BetterU program. If you haven’t already checked out this program, you are invited to explore it this month.
As a part of this year’s events, the Graduate College is hosting a BINGO competition for graduate students, staff and faculty. (Your BINGO card can be found attached to the Monday Memos newsletters from March 29 and April 5.) These wellness-related activities can be completed on your own time and so you can start marking off those squares today. As soon as you “BINGO” (five boxes across the square - vertically, horizontally, or diagonally), submit your card and be entered to win one of our prizes, including gift cards! Complete a Blackout BINGO (all of the squares marked off) and you get multiple entries. Winners will be drawn from each category: graduate students, staff and faculty. Do this with a friend or colleague, and make your well-being a point of emphasis for Graduate Education Month 2021!

Schedule of BetterU facets of wellness.
April 5-9: Physical Well-being
April 12-16: Emotional Well-being
April 19-23: Environmental Well-being
April 26-30: Intellectual Well-being

Another upcoming activity of Grad Ed Month will be held on April 7 at 11:00 a.m. Bring your own mat or blanket to the OSU Botanical Gardens for Yoga in the Garden (register here). The final celebration for Graduate Education Month will be the annual Graduate College (virtual) Awards Ceremony scheduled for April 28th at 3:00 p.m. via Zoom.
